The hosting service at home Não Há Lugar Como Nosso Lar (No Place Like ​​Home) is a package of services provided by me, 5-year-experienced vet doctor, for pets whose owners need to travel.

The trip is already a stressful moment for the pet because of the owner's remoteness and it can become worse if the pet is in a strange place, with lots of animals, at the risk of being injured or contracting illnesses. The situation can get worse if the hosting is in a hospital, a common situation in Brasilia. You do not spend your vacation at Brasilia Hospital, do you? The same goes for our pets.

Não Há Lugar Como Nosso Lar​ offers different service formats, each adapted to the habits of your pet and your needs, at market prices.

How it works

Before your travel, we will schedule a prior assessment. This no-cost first visit is to evaluate and to meet the vet doctor. It is necessary for the owner, pet and vet to know each other and for the service to occur peacefully.

At this point, you will have access to the contract that ensures the provision of adequate service and you can clarify possible doubts.

The package choice depends on the assessment together between the owner and the vet doctor to provide the best service to your pet, which is the focus.

The duration of daily activity is based on scientific studies that determine the physiological and psychological ideal time for each breed according to size and fitness.

In case of medical emergency, first aid care is provided with no additional cost. However, if it is necessary the use of drugs and/or clinical care, the costs will be charged separately.

Packages

The package choice always depends on the prior assessment, focusing on what is the best for the pet.

* Standard Package - 1 daily visit of 45 minutes for attention, walk and/or specific physical activity, monitoring the pet's health, place hygiene, exchanging food and water. Daily rate: R$30;

* Loving Package - 2 daily visits of 30 minutes with the same services of Standard Package. Especially for owners who want more attention for their pets. Daily rate: R$60;

* Athlete Package - 1 daily visit with extended time for 1:30. Especially for large breeds that require more physical activity. Daily rate: R$40;

* Nurse Package - multiple daily visits with times determined by need (physical activity, nursing). Special for pets who need medical care in case of nursing schedules (medicines, bandages and other). Daily rate: R$30 + R$5/visit;

* Urgent Package - chosen package services in case of sudden travel in less than 3 days. Daily rate: chosen package + R$15/daily;

* Weekend Package - chosen package services on holidays and weekends. Daily rate: chosen package + R$10/daily rates on these days;

* Family Package - chosen service package, but for cases with more than one pet per house. Daily rate: chosen package + R$10/pet in daily.


DISCOUNTS
As a way of supporting the adoption of abandoned animals and responsible ownership, owners of certain pets will receive the following discounts:

* Adopted animal - 5%
* More than one adopted animal - 5%
Maximum discount - 10%

* Neutered animal - 5%
* More than one neutered animal - 5%
Maximum discount - 10%

Note: All cases can achieve the maximum discount of 20%. 

Security

Não Há Lugar Como Nosso Lar is a 2-in-1 service.

Besides the package services, Não Há Lugar Como Nosso Lar is a great alternative to the security of your house. The statistics prove that empty houses during travels are an easy target for burglars. The daily presence of a person in your house is safe for your pet and yourself.

There are 4 guarantees for the safety of the service:

* Everything is put into contract.

* Only one person will have access to the house and pet (the vet doctor).

* The vet doctor will have access only to places allowed by the owner.

* Your pet will "tell" you everything when you come back ... the pet is your best guarantee!!!

Restriction

The only restriction is when the pet doesn't accept the presence of the vet doctor for reasons of extreme aggression. This can only be determined in the prior assessment.

Cases when normally pets aren't accepted in conventional hosting, as presence of tick/flea, contagious disease, female in heat or pregnant, are perfectly managed in Não Há Lugar Como Nosso Lar. The required care will be established in the prior assessment.

FAQ

1. You make only one visit per day? And my pet will be alone the rest of the time, sad and making mess?

* Each race/species has a minimum daily physical and mental activity and this need will be met according to the  chosen package.
* The activities are developed INDIVIDUALLY for each pet. If necessary, besides the visit, there will be environmental enrichment, that is, activities to let the pet become distracted throughout the day.

* In fact, for group animals, being alone isn't common, but it isn't unnatural. In the group, it is normal for individuals to separate for hunting, looking for new places etc and then they meet again. Therefore, packages work within the need of each race/species.

* Also remember that your pet usually gets most of the day alone without your company, since you are away from your house for many hours.

2. The packages are expensive. Is there any discount?

* The service that is provided is not only hosting. All packages are predicting specialized care in monitoring animal behavior and daily pet veterinary medicine.
* However, neutered and/or adopted animals from shelters, street, will receive discount as explained in PACKAGES.

3. My pet has behavior problems. Can you help me?

* If you want to continue the animal behavior care, this can be scheduled for a weekly visit costing R$50/hour.

* In general, 1 visit of 1 hour per week is sufficient, since this service is to teach, guide and answer possible doubts.

* During the rest of the week, the owner should practice the techniques with the pet daily.

4. I don't have time to walk my pet every day. Do you do the daily petsitter service?

* ATTENTION! The daily petsitter service is back.
* Packages and prices are the same as hosting during travel.

* Due to demand, this service is temporarily suspended.

* Once performing the daily service again, I will put a notice on this site.

* But remember that walking your pet only brings  you advantages. You practice a physical activity, improve the health of your pet, improve various behaviors and decrease spending on surprise visits to the vet, medication and your gym!

5. My pet doesn't have a veterinarian. Can you be the vet doctor?

* My background is in general practice for dogs. So my veterinarian care is geared toward prevention and health maintenance in dogs only.

* For other species (cats, birds, reptiles and others), I will gladly designate an expert to monitor the health of your pet.

* The cost of the appointment will follow the conventional fees, costs may be added as vaccine, medicine, and other materials, just as how is done in office.

* My veterinarian care is done at your house too.
